They have an elder led church and two former members belong to your SS class (Megan Li & Tim D!) Sounds like you guys made great progress. I'm excited to see the end result. P.S. Most Northerners could care less if you're Southern...so many of the larger cities are a mixture of everyone already. But I know how it feels to be a Texan wandering into another state...it's like you're an alien. Poor Texan! Just kidding. :)Margiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06693123434507948894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14064784.post-64339925885755786502008-02-19T10:18:00.000-06:002008-02-19T10:18:00.000-06:00Cool Lyd and Jon! They still have a "senior pastor" of sorts, but we have elders and others come in all the time. It does make it a little different to know that you're gaining spiritual wisdom from many points of view.Leannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01834875597299071671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14064784.post-7489740756406542742008-02-18T21:43:00.000-06:002008-02-18T21:43:00.000-06:00Sounds like an exciting, productive meeting! It reminds me of what John does at HBC to get ready for a North Africa trip...cast the vision, wait for God to bring the people, equip and prepare them,.....then GO!! You have an exciting year ahead of you!Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18388372093890982397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14064784.post-33197559129200883812008-02-18T21:26:00.000-06:002008-02-18T21:26:00.000-06:00Wow Oh Wow. It is so exciting to see God moving, equipping those he has called to do his work. He was involved in something similar a long time ago when he was in ministry. I do have to admit, part of me sighs with some sorrow to see another part of my family consider moving away from good ole Tejas, but I would never let location prevent someone from doing what the Lord has called them to do. I am excited for yall! The Norvellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02838572956075942058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14064784.post-53509658044465458892008-02-18T18:52:00.000-06:002008-02-18T18:52:00.000-06:00Very cool.
