Hippotherapy for James
-
Contrary to popular belief, "hippotherapy" is therapy using horses, not
hippos.
James LOVES horses, so I was excited to start hippotherapy at Hope Landing ...

Too funny! Why do you think you're bound to have a disobedient child?
ReplyDeleteBailey likes to climb up into the window box above the sink. He has to get on the kitchen cabinets first AND climb through the blinds! I can't reach him up there, so I did the same as you, "Bailey, no. No! No, Bailey, no!" Then I squirted him with water, and he just kinda stared at me. I finally had to climb up on the counter and pull him down.
I can understand why he wants up there... warm cozy spot in the sun. And Friday has his reasons, too. "But, Mom, I just want to see the birds!"
Too cute. Too cute. I love your kitty. I still want a kitty! =(
ReplyDeleteAnd posting the video...that's pretty cool too!
The dialogue of the frustrated mommy is the funniest thing about the video ... and Friday's expression!
ReplyDeleteBut you have to wonder... is the camera encouraging him?
ReplyDeleteI love how he looks straight at you and then keeps swatting the blinds. Defiance!
ReplyDeleteFriday, you made me laugh! Yup, I'll agree with Lindsey that this is all-out defiance. I think I even detected a little kitty-smirk in there.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if you left the blinds up a few inches he could look out without messing them up. Would that be removing his temptation or just giving in?
Well, there's another window (the largest in the house, and a front row seat to the bird feeders) where we pull the blinds up for Friday. And usually he's perfectly happy with that. But sometimes, for some reason, he thinks the birds are bigger in the other window, and he gets bent on seeing through that window. I did eventually relent and pull the blinds up for him. I think he's forgotten about that window this week. Back to the regular one!
ReplyDeleteI think I might have to surrender to Bailey getting in the window box above the sink. I should just pull up the blinds so he's not climbing through them.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but that also succumbs to no-no #2: getting on the counters. Not like cats don't get on the counters when you're not looking anyway....
ReplyDeleteYes, when I tell Bailey, "No!" I can see it in his eyes... "Well, I'm just going to do it tomorrow when you're at work, anyway!"
