Birthday was the Best!

Thanks to everyone for birthday wishes! Thanks to my dad, who drove up for a birthday lunch, to my mom, who ordered a delicious chocolate cake and even thought of Over the Hedge party plates! Thanks to Jon, who conspired with Bekah for a beautiful cake to share with friends, to Margie, who spent the afternoon helping me clean/organize my closet, and to Leanna, who made sure I had something to do, instead of spend the evening alone.

I am blessed with wonderful family and friends!

Now I'm off to a meeting in Dallas for the next few days, so I may not be posting too much. If you're around, give my hubby a call to keep him company!

Lost and Found: Please Claim Here

I was going through a kitchen cabinet, and found this:
It's not mine. Is it yours?? I can't for the life of me remember how this came to be in my cabinet. I have a suspicion it might have something to do with Christmas, because lots of people's dishes went through my kitchen that holiday. But I really have no idea. Please claim your lost and found item!

Trip to the Zoo

Margie took me to the Fort Worth Zoo for my birthday! We spent the whole day wandering around the zoo and taking pictures. It was great. Here are all the pics I took.

Do you like to take surveys?

I like surveys. I even sit on the phone for 30 minutes to answer questions about Kroger vs. Albertsons. So, today I found a site called BuzzDash, and it's perfect! The surveys are only one question apiece, and most you just click the answer you think, it updates automatically, and it's done! In some instances, the options aren't very good. For example one of the questions was, "Is the book of Revelation 1) the truth of the end of days; 2) an allegory; or 3) science fiction? There was no 4th option for "I have no idea."

Anyway, it's a lot of fun, so I would recommend it. You can pick your category, and just answer a lot of questions about one thing. I picked religion, and it's very interesting to see what others thought about heaven, moral absolutes, God, etc.

Have fun!

Dust Storm

Here's Leanna being swept away in last week's Dust Storm. We were pretty sure the end was near. It was really eerie.
