Margie took me to the Fort Worth Zoo for my birthday! We spent the whole day wandering around the zoo and taking pictures. It was great. Here are all the pics I took.
I had such a blast going to the zoo with you. I don't know which shot is my most favorite...
I really like the monkey profile, your smiling turtles came out awesome, the eagle shot has so much depth of field, and the flamingos chatting remind me of us! I think your photos were a great success. I hope you were happy with them. I also liked the detail shot of the grass blades/plant.
The "detail shot" was actually when I put in a new roll of film, and was just shooting to advance the film. Whoops! :)
I am pretty happy with the shots. To be good, they need some color-correcting, and the sun was so bright that day that I would have to tone it down a bit. With a little Photoshop work, I think I could have some good ones.
Aw, I love the Ft. Worth Zoo! I have many a childhood memory there. (They even used to have an amusement park there.) You got some good shots, too. I'm glad the animals were out and visible.
I like some of the bird ones the best. And the tiger is so close! That is usually a hard thing about zoo pictures, you have to use a good lens to get close to some of the animals or hope they come up close to the fence. We are going to the zoo later today ! :)
Hippotherapy for James
-
Contrary to popular belief, "hippotherapy" is therapy using horses, not
hippos.
James LOVES horses, so I was excited to start hippotherapy at Hope Landing ...
Fun times! Yea for the zoo and beautiful animals...

ReplyDeleteThe only one that was hiding was the wart hog. However the other wart hog somehow got into the zebra grazing area. Kind of hilarious...crazy pig!
