Many of you know that the Corvette is my favorite car. When I get rich as a painter, I'm going to get one, just for fun. I've had trouble deciding on what color, until our trip to Granbury a few weekends ago, when I saw this:
I've decided it has to be a red Corvette. Previously, I thought that might be too ostentatious, but it's so beautiful.... And I've also decided to install massive amounts of lights in my garage, to get just this effect.
And yes, I'll take you for a ride, but no, you cannot borrow my dream car.
Hippotherapy for James

Contrary to popular belief, "hippotherapy" is therapy using horses, not
hippos.
James LOVES horses, so I was excited to start hippotherapy at Hope Landing ...

That was in Granbury??
ReplyDeleteI know! That was my first thought, too! Well, my first thought was more, "Ooh, ooh, Corvette!!" Then it was, "Granbury?? Crazy...."
ReplyDeleteYay for Lydia's red corvette! OK, so when I get rich on the mission field, I'll get my dream car... the Fiat! (squatty, dumpy European car) Actually, with the way they drive overseas, I think I'll take the bus.
ReplyDeletegorgeous car for a dashing lady ... perfect!
ReplyDeleteAhhh...so you're encroaching on MY dream car now?
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted a red t-top convertible. I would share with you. Maybe when we are old ladies in the nursing home we can combine our classic vets to get the newest one and cruise around town.
Sound like a plan, ehh old girl?
haahaa I did spell check and it changed my corvette to convertible, or something weird. Because a t-top and a convertable are NOT the same thing! I need all the window room I can get. I say NO! to floppy plastic windows.
ReplyDeleteLyd, I would look fab driving your dream car through downtown Kountze. Not to mention Brittany's excitement of being dropped off at Jr High. Would you reconsidet the borrowing policy?
ReplyDeleteCan i at least drive it??
ReplyDeleteHey... no special treatment for one sis-in-law and not the other! And no special treatment for people named Karen either! (Unless you give us both special treatment.)
ReplyDeleteDid I not mention explicitly that there would be no borrowing of the dream car? That includes driving it!
ReplyDeleteI will, however, out of the generosity of my heart, put all your names in a drawing. Whoever's name is drawn gets to be keeper of the radio for one trip.
Now, there. Don't you feel better? :)
I need to post again. Who knew a dream car could cause so much bickering....sheesh....sisters.... :D
That really is a beautiful car. Don't you love the Ferrari scene(s) in Ferris Bueller's Day Off?
ReplyDeleteMy dream car is a jaguar ... maybe hunter green. :)
Ooh, I think hunter green is perfect for a Jaguar. Those are beautiful cars.
