Pickle Day!

Some of you might remember that eight weeks ago to the day I made pickles. And today I could finally open them! Well, I'd like to report, while a little stronger than I expected, they are pretty good. A little crunchy, not soggy, which is good. :) Jon said they tasted like pickles, so I guess that's good. I've given them to one other person, and we'll see what she says before I really give my verdict.

Update: Okay, we have a verdict. The pickles are good, but very strong. :) The suggestion was to put more pickles into each jar. I think this goes to show that patience is actually not a virtue when it comes to pickling, and I should have just eaten them the day I made them!

  4. Ok, so now that the pickels are over with can we come up with a project that I will actually like? How about, jams or jellies, or cotton candy? OOOooo! I got it! Fudge!!! I LOVE fudge! Peanut Butter or Chocolate or both together! That's my vote.

  5. I can't control my whims! That's why they're called whims! But I'll try to subconsiously think "chocolate peanut butter fudge, chocolate peanut butter fudge..." and maybe magic will happen.

I think Jon would appreciate that sort of whim as well.

  6. I've got a recipe for chocolate peanut butter fudge. Didn't I make some for Jon one time? All I remember, is it was super sweet! Oh, but yummy. Fudge reminds me of the holidays...which are just around the corner!
