The Flood

Here it is! What you've all been waiting for! It's pretty long, perfect for a break from work! :)

  1. OK, well, if the bluebonnet skipping video didn't confirm it, this certainly did... you're a goof!

    Fun video, thanks for sharing.

Not so fun flood, but glad you all survived!

  2. Sorry the words came out so small. I exported the file much larger, but Google Video still shrunk it down. I can't figure out why....

  3. So, will you score some new carpet?

Thanks for the video presentation of the flood -- tremendous!

  4. @mab: No, we won't. We're at the mercy of the landlord, who decided to keep the money, or use it for something else for the house...not really sure.

I was sort of relieved, because our house was up-side-down for a week, and I didn't want to wait longer for them to replace carpet. The landlord will definitely have to replace it when we move out. (And it was thoroughly cleaned, so I'm not worried about mildew or anything.)

  5. Excellent documentary. When is the theatre screening?

Glad you all dried out AND you had another reason to test out your new toy.

  6. @Leanna: Yes, just as Blogger has changed my attitude about bad things in life ("This would make a great blog!"), my camera has also changed my view of things. Teeheehee.... :)

  7. @Lydia's video joke: Stop being so silly!
I loved watching it last week at your house, and I loved watching it again today.
Now about that camping footage you have...I know it will be hard to pick out the best footage, but for sure the racoon attack and my tour of the tent are keepers. Then all that other silly stuff you can just...forget about. :)
I'm glad you like to video tape. My favorite thing to video tape when I was a kid was flushing the toilet. (Nothing in the toilet, mind you.) It was random and my dad always knew who had been playing wit his camera.
Just think, that one time it might go the other way down (if I were in Australia filming the toilet) for example.
Ok, enough of my bad film habits. I don't know which is safer--me behind or in front of the camera?
Glad you're house is back in order.

  8. P.S. I can't believe you kept the dog poo part in. What a racy second video to screen on your blog. LOL.

  9. If you ever do a remix version...consider Steve Vaughn Ray's song Texas Flood. It's a great blues song and very appropriate! :) I liked your present song choice also.

  10. Wow, what a mess! I am so sorry you had to survive that, but it will make good stories later! (As in, "Did I ever tell you about the time my neighbor's house flooded, and we ...)

The dogs are cute. It looks like they enjoyed getting to visit your yard.
