80s Night!

Grab your leg warmers, stick your cassette tape in your boombox, and press play!

Last Saturday night, our class (girls AND guys, despite the song) had a blast at 80s night, where we donned every colorful piece of clothing in our closet and relived the crazy days of the 80s.

Everyone brought snacks, and someone thought to bring Fruit Roll-Ups. We had 80s music in the background, 80s games, and an 80s movie to end the night: Back to the Future.

Tons of fun! Here are the photos!

  2. Wahoo for living up the glory days of fashion! Can we do 90's and wear our slap bracelets?

  5. Very fun....the music would be the best part....love to relive the 80's days of music. The fashion? Not so much but it is all coming back!

  6. I think your haircut (normally) is super-cute & I'm actually considering a similar cut for myself. So, to see it transformed completely into an 80's style.... Rockin'! That's awesome! What other eras can that hairdo morph into?

By the way, I like the huge earrings. They're RAD!

  7. @bartleywedgies: It's sad that the 80s fashion is coming back. I got my outfit at goodwill, but they were all "today's" store brands.

@mab: I would totally recommend the short haircut. It's super-easy to fix, and yet I can do enough different stuff with it that I don't get bored.

I'd considered the punk rock spikes. Also, my hair would work great for a 20s flapper (with those waves) or Audrey Hepburn. For the Victorian age...well, it's short enough for a wig! :)

  8. Super fun! Did anyone come with jean cutoffs rolled up right above the knee? That was my 80's staple.
